The input provided through the Community Survey sheds light on the unique characteristics, concerns, and values of the Chaves County community. Open from September 26 to November 7, 2025, this survey engaged 263 participants who will influence Chaves County’s future. The Community Survey covers essential topics such as quality of life, employment, growth and development, transportation and infrastructure, housing, and demographics. These results will be analyzed by Consensus Planning and the Chaves County Steering Committee, and the insights will help shape the final Comprehensive Plan document.

Chaves County Comprehensive Plan Update – Community Survey
Chaves County has kicked off the planning process for an update to the County’s Comprehensive Plan. As part of the planning process, the County’s consultant, Consensus Planning, has created a Community Survey that asks a wide range of questions regarding the future of Chaves County and community aspirations related to quality of life, employment, growth and development, economic development, agriculture, alternative energy, transportation and infrastructure, housing, etc. The results of the Community Survey will be analyzed and provide direction in preparing the Chaves County Comprehensive Plan, a 20-year vision for the future.
Hard copies of the community survey are available at the Chaves County Administrative Center at 1 St. Mary’s Place in Roswell. The survey will run until November 7, 2025.
